Pros

no pros for this company

Cons

offer withdrawn one week before start date. This firm is using a French based company called Teleperformance to hire Licensed Insurance Agents to work from home on behalf Liberty mutual. A third party recruiter made a written job offer to me. I competed the background check and my state license is current thru feb 2024 . I got emails this week telling me I was cleared to start the job, I had not heard back about my computer being shipped so I reached out today. I got an email back stating that the Liberty had not accepted my application. Application ? I had a written job offer and an agreed to schedule. Exactly what is going on with this Liberty Mutual employment vendors ? Is this how this company treats potential Experienced Licensed insurance agents, Can you image how they would treat customers or God Forbid if you have a claim against one of their insured ? Keep in mind all my licenses are in good standing there are no actions against me by any agency or insured. I have no criminal background and my credit sore is 808. So what is the deal Liberty Mutual ? What is going on with your Vendors ?

Good benefits. Generous 401k match

Cons

Started my career at Liberty Mutual as a Workers' Compensation intern. In the beginning, everything was going well. The workload was demanding, but I genuinely enjoyed the job and the work I was doing. One year later, I got promoted to claim adjuster. Things changed after my manager was seriously injured in a car accident. The department director took over managing our team, and the work environment became completely different. She was extremely rude and practiced excessive micromanagement. She expected me not to take any PTO if my work wasn't completely finished, even when I needed time off because my grandmother had suddenly passed away. The constant pressure and lack of empathy took a serious toll on my mental health. I developed depression during that time and eventually had to seek help from a psychologist. In the end, I decided to leave Liberty Mutual. It was one of the best decisions I made for my well-being, and I would not consider returning to the company.
