Used to be a great place to work, but going downhill quickly with return to office - Administrative Assistant Liberty Mutual Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Okay amount of PTO, 401k, and still offer small pension. These benefits unfortunately do not out weigh them making the decision to have employees return to office

Cons

It’s clear that the company does not care about their employees. It had been communicated that employees within 50 miles of select offices will be required to return to office. This is even in cases where none of their other team members will be in the same location. They will now have teams that require individuals doing the exact same job to commute and add extra hours to their work day while still receiving the same compensation and no benefit. When a large amount of employees voiced their concerns over this, upper management has done nothing to address.

Pros

Work from home, only in office twice a month

Cons

-Extremely high paced -Too many claims. Caseload is way too big. -Super stressful having to deal with customers. A lot of them don’t understand insurance or what their policy covers so you will constantly deal with pissed off uninformed insureds -metrics are unrealistic and unattainable. You need to have a 98% answer rate but at the same time you have a million cases and people calling you constantly so this is impossible to achieve. On top of that you have to actually document and determine liability. -Awful work life balance
