Pros

Career opportunities are available if you are in the right place at the right time. The company has a large presence in the NorthEast (MA/NH) and the Mid West (Indiana/Ohio/Wisconsin), if you are located in one of these areas or are able to relocate, the opportunities abound. The health and educational benefits are excellent. Pursuing a degree or further training in your area of expertise is encouraged and for the most part paid for in full. Depending upon Dept. management employee recognition is common. The yearly bonuses are excellent and based upon the employee's rating and the results of each Business Unit. Overall, compensation is excellent.

Cons

Morale in many areas is down due to the major changes that are taking place. There always seems to be some sort of reorganization going on, causing extreme changes in business process, office closures, files moving from one office/jurisdiction to another. I used to feel extremely proud to say I worked for Liberty Mutual, but with the frequent office closings and staff changes it is difficult to tell someone that it is a good place to work. People get jobs with a Fortune 100 company, and within a year are out of a job because an office is closing. How is that reponsible?

Pros

There are no pros to working here. I just thought of one, you have a chance to work remotely so you don’t have to see your toxic, incompetent manager in person every day.

Cons

Toxic, hostile culture Favoritism to the extreme 50-60 hours a week work but get paid for 40 Being forced to give your manager a 9-10 on a survey when they don’t deserve it to avoid fear of retaliation Coworkers crying and having panic attacks on a daily basis Just everything
