Pros

- Amazing opportunities for personal growth. When I started, I was super junior and kept my nose down and focused on doing my job well, because I felt like everyone around me was so clever and productive that I had to prove myself every day. That feeling of "Alright, today, too, I'm going to show my worth to my peers!!" has pushed me to grow so much since I started. It was totally unexpected and I couldn't possibly show ample gratitude for how much I've learned here! - Smart colleagues--I mean, SMART. I mean the level of smart that makes you hiss "how do I become you" between your teeth during meetings. - Driven, dedicated, passionate leadership. Even after a rough week or month of super fiery customers/clients, just listening to Seth talk about our direction, our opportunities, and our challenges gets me super fired up.

Cons

I don't see these as downsides, just things to be aware of when pursuing work here: - it's hard--there's a lot to do, like A LOT to do. Not a company for folks just looking for something to get by; definitely a company for folks who want something they can get passionate about and commit to! - everything changes, a lot! Those who are change-resistant, need constancy, or don't handle rapid evolution well should beware. Those who love that sort of atmosphere will have an awesome, kick-ass time :]

Pros

Perks and benefits are amazing Culture is great, most people generally like coming to work Mentorship and career growth are taken seriously Liberal vacation policy and occasional work from home is an option Flat hierarchy - mostly a pro Great transparency on business outlook and major deals/developments

Cons

The company has some very antiquated and hack-y processes that are still around from the early days. Engineering's time is almost entirely focused on driving new features, so these don't really get fixed and can cause some serious downstream issues and require time-intensive manual workarounds. The problem gets compounded with the growing pains the company is currently going through and clients' demands for more customized and non-standard deliverables. Need more communication between departments - often a change is unilaterally made by one group that impacts the whole company and no prior notification or consultation takes place. Terminations aren't handled particularly well - finding out someone you work closely with is gone via an email bounce is highly disruptive. Need to have more transparency on how employees are doing; medium and long term goals are not always clear and neither is progress against them. There needs to be a formal and measurable performance improvement process in place if expectation are being missed.
