Customer Service - Anonymous employee Lee Valley Tools Employee Review

Department head is family of owner. Not qualified for job. No leadership to inspire the teams. Plays favorites with certain groups within the staff. Does not take recommendations from staff to improve the out dated processes & resolve problems once & for all. Focused on one pet project at the expense of the other areas of her responsibilities. Nothing is innovative & cutting edge. Policies are vague. Chain of command is wishywashy. Lots of redundancy & inefficiencies in the systems. Software is 25 years old leading to lots of manual work. Lack of long term vision - most likely the company will be sold off when 2nd generation retires.
