Pros

You don't need any experience. Snag a stable job with health insurance and office perks for the small price of: your sanity.

Cons

Picture this: You’re in your 20’s and you don’t have much experience. You find LeadVision. It boasts happy hours, ping pong, and a decent starting salary. Plus, the hiring manager is totally into you. Seems too good to be true. Newsflash - it is. Run while you can. I get it. You need experience. In a year or two, if it truly sucks, you’ll quit. How bad can it be? Here are some things to keep in mind when making your decision: - The company is incredibly disorganized and has its hands in too many pots. There is no overarching plan or goal. Generally, if one is set, it is almost immediately changed. You'll often work on a project for months just for it to get thrown out when management doesn't see results in six seconds. Sometimes, contests are offered with prizes for whoever can meet the most recent, rushed, & impossible goal. These likely won't be fully followed through on, so don't get your hopes up. They're looking for a quick buck, not a solid, sustainable business plan. - Most of the employees are overworked. This is framed nicely in the interview as "wearing many hats". The reason pay is decent and there are "perks" is because the CEO prefers it if your life revolves around the company. Don't even think about actually using your PTO. - Management hands out lofty titles like “senior” or “executive” at the end of your first year, but the raises don't match. If you really want a pay raise, become a manager. Only downside is you'll have to sell your soul, tattle on your team, and start drama. - You’re expected to consistently show up to happy hours, after-work events, and socials. You’ll also be expected to act like you're having the time of your life. (If you're a female, this means being aggressively bubbly. A meeting was actually called once because a team was "too quiet".) I could keep going, but that's the gist. If you’re using these reviews to decide whether or not to work at LeadVision, just know that I strongly advise against it. If you do go for it though, best of luck. You’ll make a therapist very rich one day. Heads up - block management on social media. You'll thank me later.

LeadVision Response

We appreciate the feedback from the author of this review. We highly encourage all employees to communicate any concerns with their managers. This is how we can institute change and retain our most valuable team members. Communication between employees and managers is important, because we simply don’t know what we don’t know. We value feedback from current and former employees and will use this information to help us become a better company. LeadVision has always been a company that believes in hard work in a very fun environment. That has always been our preference. Although every event we do is optional for every employee, we understand how this may not be a perfect fit for everyone. Perhaps our management team can come up with a team building and celebration policy that takes everyone’s personal preferences into consideration. Admittedly, we do try and launch several projects throughout the year and this can certainly lead to some wear and tear. We, as a company, do not expect every project to be a success. This can lead to some projects being cut short. We do this so that we are not wasting our employee’s time, and we can shift their focus to more important and meaningful projects. We promote employees annually if their performance meets or exceeds our expectations. LeadVision’s average annual raise is ~12%, exceeding industry standards. We also reward our employees for their hard work with 37 paid days off in their first year, including a one week paid Holiday Break and a one week paid Spring Break. In addition to PTO and holiday pay, we also offer paid maternity leave and paid bereavement leave. Also, each employee earns an extra two days of PTO each year. We understand that our employees need a work life balance and we do our best to provide that. LeadVision stands behind our employees and we are inspired by them daily. We will continue to listen to the feedback from current and past employees to institute positive change.

Pros

LeadVision has amazing company culture with a great support network across all divisions. The training is very thorough and is designed to ensure you understand all aspects of the job before being put in front of potential clients, they set you up for success very well. Colleagues are always willing to lend a hand, making the day to day very collaborative, you never feel “you’re on your own”. The leadership from CEO to upper management genuinely care about the employees and highlight a respectful workplace, you’ll never feel you’re less than. There is a high level of trust, with flexibility in hours that allows you to handle any personal matters you need to tend to. The PTO is very generous and encourages a healthy work life balance.

Cons

The role involves a high volume of calling per day, which can be pretty demanding (the company is very upfront about this). There is also a significant amount of backend account management required to maintain and retain clients long term.
