Pros

The company wants its employees to succeed. They do not single out employees for making mistakes and gives them multiple opportunities to correct and learn from them. They are also willing to be as flexible as possible to help employees keep a healthy work/life balance. The benefits are pretty standard (health, vision, dental, etc) but they also have paid certificate training for materials and exams. They also have quarterly company events (indoor mini golf, scavenger hunts) which are a lot of fun. Employees enjoy helping each other out when possible. Never feel like you are on your own if you hit an issue that you aren't familiar with.

Cons

Turnover recently has been higher than normal but mostly due to the employees wanting to work closer to home/at home either because of new children or to spend more time with existing children.

Pros

Langtech is a diverse and talented team. People get along well and seem generally happy. The company hosts several events for its employees each year: an effort to foster more of a community feeling at the workplace. This year it was a holiday dinner party, an escape room, and a party at a pool hall. Langtech promotes from within—the difference between a job and a career. This contributes to an overall positive workplace and is probably their most positive, attractive attribute to potential employees. Langtech is organized and prepared with a cloud infrastructure and robust, automated systems that help manage multiple aspects of work life, including Azure, Kaseya, and ConnectWise. The company moved its entire infrastructure into the cloud recently, in keeping with the times, and encourages its clients to do the same. Langtech employees are given late model Dell laptops with docking stations and dual monitors to work with—good machines. A recent documentation initiative also earns bonus points for the company. Langtech is well organized overall, with an actually-usable SharePoint, for instance, that makes engineering easier. Upper management at Langtech is very much involved with the daily work of the company—you will actually see them. And they like to get to know the employees personally. This definitely contributes to the overall positive environment at Langtech.

Cons

Overall flexibility could be improved upon. The time off policy is somewhat restrictive, but not out of line with other similar companies’ policies.
