Pros
Supports our warfighters and customers, especially the military Flexible schedules (9/80), lots of PTO/vacation, good work-life balance Decent insurance and 6% 401k match
Cons
Company absolutely DOES NOT promote top talent, therefore after 5-10 years, our new hires (especially in Engineering) are making not far off what mid-level engineers make. Engineers cannot get promoted so they seek other opportunities and leave for better paying jobs at our competitors. Furthermore, the company only promotes during the merit-cycle (once per year) and it takes away from the group's merits. So if a manager promotes within the group, others receive a lower annual merit/raise. The system is broken and employees are not valued and invested in.
