- Not actually fully remote - director of product enjoys the luxury of traveling where they want while lower level employees have to go through way more process and/or are completely barred from being allowed to travel
- Extremely political - being a sycophant gets you places at Kpler more-so than any other workplace I've been. You can give the illusion of making impact without actually being competent.
- Incentivizes people to leave positive reviews on Glassdoor via implicit scare tactics.
- Squeezes people through comments like - you'll be compared to your coworker at the end of this quarter for better or for worse. That makes it difficult to want to collaborate and work as a team - instead leads to keeping scapegoats to avoid personal liability.
- Rips other companies algorithms by poaching engineers from those companies. Completely unethical, and likely bordering illegal if not outright illegal.
