Pros

Salary paid on time Adequate insurance

Cons

Well it is no secret that the company has conquered maritime AIS market. Acknowledgement must be given for where it is due for such an ambitious goal. With such great goal achieved , the company ego grows in an unhealthy manner. The ripple effect trickles down to individual sales targets which are often unrealistic beyond imagination leading to unethical sales approach towards customers. Poaching and stepping beyond territorial boundaries of various deals are common which leads to many disputes internally just to achieve your individual target. Surprisingly this happens all across seniority levels globally. It is truly a festival of cannibals daily. Fresh ideas are never appreciated and often taken as an offence to the company because you are indirectly criticising another person’s work. The sky is the limit , often used to motivate the team to drive sales. However, this phrase practically applies to the remarkable turnover in the commercial department globally in the past years for various reasons. If you plan on joining, take my advice and research on the employees tenure before making the decision. If you thrive on toxicity and unethical sales practices then this company is perfect for you. Do not expect to learn or grow, you are only expected to deliver at all cost at the expense of your own sanity. Your reporting managers are just a senior “yes man” reporting to an even bigger one. Do not expect much guidance from them, because they have themself to look out for. It is just a facade of smiles companywide

Cons

Run. The company has lost its soul after multiple M&As. Everyone is constantly anxious, never knowing when they might be the next person let go. If you fail to hit your sales quota for two consecutive quarters, you’re out — regardless of how consistent your past performance has been or how many years you’ve dedicated to the company. The company no longer values ethics or integrity; only numbers matter. If you can somehow convince management that you can bring in ARR, you’ll be rewarded, no matter how unrealistic or misleading the promises may be. The Glassdoor rating is also misleading. The People team instructed regional HR teams to encourage new hires to leave positive reviews in order to artificially maintain a high score. I’ve seen respected and well-liked employees terminated simply because they fell out of favor with management. Many highly intelligent and capable individuals were either pushed out or fired without clear justification or fair severance packages. A large number of long-tenured “OG” employees have left because of this culture shift. The collaborative, creative, and friendly environment that once defined the company has largely disappeared. Now, everything revolves around climbing the corporate ladder and competing against your coworkers rather than working together as a team.
