Pros

Decent compensation package, but no guarantees it will remain

Cons

The company's burn rate is outpacing it's sales. They've got only a couple of months of cash reserves left until they start asking people to work without a paycheck. They've made a series of massive blunders in marketing, user conferences and getting a new product to market that have cost the company dearly. Their response to this was to RAISE the price of their products across the board. Absentee leadership. Lack of direction. Lack of Communication. No marketing for a product that needs to be marketed. Product has languished, and is delivering 'Features' that the competition has had for several years already. There's no compelling reason for new customers to buy, or for existing customers to upgrade. Unless you are in the HQ in the Czech Republic, there aren't many options for mobility within the company. Satellite office positions are mostly sales, and are extremely volatile as well. Quotas are frequently updated to keep teams from succeeding which creates a culture of stress and infighting that is actually fostered by leadership.

Kentico Software Response

We are sad to see this false and damaging review of Kentico and our culture. Kentico has been consistently growing our revenues and head count for the past years and we're on track to continue growth and profitability in this financial year and in the future. Talking specifically about our US office, Kentico has tripled our staff in last two years; recently moving to a larger office. The solution is a solid platform, as evidenced by the hundreds of end client and partner testimonials published on our website, where we also offer a clear and transparent illustration of Kentico’s corporate vision and solution roadmap. Recently, Kentico was recognized as one of the major vendors in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management and Gartner Magic Quadrant for Horizontal Portals. It is accurate that Kentico does maintain a central core of executive management from its headquarters in Brno, Czech Republic and by design, most of the satellite offices are typically responsible for sales, training, consulting, and support of our clients and partners. It is also true and recognized that all companies experience growing pains as they mature their business and position to market and Kentico is certainly no different; however we feel that how Kentico addresses and resolves these challenges is the true measure of our integrity and culture. We welcome and invite anyone to see for themselves what a fun team we are, and how much we care about each of our employees. Petr Palas, CEO

Pros

you do get autonomy to manage your pipeline and deals, decent pay, work from home and flexibility, benefits are fully paid for

Cons

Very heavily reliant on implementation partners, There is a "big emphasis" on pipeline accuracy but it depends what the flavor of the month is. One month its meddicc, one month it's deal stages, one month it's crm. Everything here is done on a very tight budget. small sales team and everything is based out of the Czech Republic which means you basically need to wait a full day to get anything done internally.
