Pros

The people in the office were welcoming and really friendly/helpful(with the exception of one stubborn, remote editor). You get to travel to conferences in major cities if you're into that... Good first job if you're looking to get experience/exposure in this industry. But do your two years and get out. There are donuts for bdays and when people leave.

Cons

The pay is criminally below industry standards. There's a lot of turnover. It was a relatively small office (~20 people), but I saw at least 5 people come and go within the 2 years I was there. No 401k match. Location stinks.

Pros

Casual dress code, flexible WFH, easy to impress management b/c the avg employee should be working at Panera

Cons

Real accomplishments go unrecognized. I wasn't even in sales and brought in a red hot new client who spent 6 figures 2 straight yrs (that's a big client at jobson). They recognize the trivial things like "hey nicely written email" or " thanks for doing ______ (some simple part of your daily routine). They don't utilize data to drive decisions they just make you waste days doing analysis and reports which are rarely read or understood without spoon feeding the data. 90% of the company is on Facebook all day and leave at 4:59 while the talented motivated (the rare ones) do all the work. They'll ride you into the ground if you are smart and motivated. I literally was working 90 hours a week and up til 3-4 am consistently towards the end. My next job will produce the salary I deserved, although to be fair my comp was fair at first. They had to post 2 jobs to replace me that's how overworked I was!
