Pros

It is a great company to have on your CV and it's well respected. The people are nice and supportive. The Vancouver office is nice. It's a global company, so you have the ability to work from/move to offices all over the world. You may get put on a great team with a great leader.

Cons

The company is split into service lines (e.g Brand Tracking, Innovation, CX, etc.). You will be confined to projects within that service line and may struggle to get a broader range of experience unless you change service lines. The salary is also low compared to competitors, especially considering the number of hours that people work. Promotion pathways are unclear, only happen twice a year and are also based on internal budgets / service-line performance more than your individual performance. There is a lack of workplace culture.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities and various locations

Cons

You work your tail off using gas, mileage, time, energy, tolls, and consistent but the authenticator who sit in the comfort of their home find any and everything wrong with the survey you fill out. Then, you don't get paid. Their portal that you are supposed to use while on location has connectivity issues or whatever reason they decide to blame it on. So far, I've lost $500.00 with this company. There are many other mystery shopping companies who don't try to cheat you out of money. If I had to guess, they use your pictures and get THEIR money but won't pay their contractors. I would suggest shopping for any other company besides Ipsos!
