Pros

As a global company involved in all areas of market research, it has something to offer everyone: research in health care, advertising, product testing, concept development, public interest, loyalty, etc. Or you might work in operations, the "back room" of the company that is responsible for actually constructing and programming the surveys, extracting samples, monitoring studies in field, and coding and tabulating the data. And with hundreds of clients throughout the world, you're always being exposed to something new.

Cons

The company is very tight-fisted when it comes to salaries and bonuses. We've lost a lot of people to competitors who are willing to pay more for good talent. And there are no corporate perks unless you reach the SVP level: no stock options, no travel budget, and we haven't seen a bonus since 2010. The company also runs VERY lean, and there is a perpetual feeling of being under-staffed for the amount of work that needs to be done. As a result, you may get stuck with some task or area of responsibility simply because the "right" person/group either doesn't exist at the company, or can't take on the extra work. This in turn makes it difficult for people to move around (new assignments), since everyone is very much needed where they are.
