      Pros

      Great benefits, great vacation time (20 days for new hires), and depending on your boss, a decent way to start out in the analytical chemistry industry.

      Cons

      Salary here is a joke. Incredibly stingy with annual raises. Discourage managers from giving 5-star reviews of employees (thus lowering your chance of getting a higher raise). Very poor communication between managers and chemists. Absolutely no chance of upward mobility (you may be promoted from Lab Tech to chemist but that is about it). Do not stay here for more than a couple years, you could easily get a much better job!

      Pros

      Good group of people in local office.

      Cons

      Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
