      Pros

      The small lab I worked at was filled to the brim with wonderful people and I would recommend them over and over. Great work life balance, great benefits, paid time off. The motto work hard; play hard really fits here.

      Cons

      No middle management; sometimes managers had too many direct reports.

      Limited training when starting the role, Unclear expectations and communication from management, Asking questions felt discouraged at times, Lack of feedback before contract ended, Did not feel comfortable seeking clarification, Inconsistent expectations around independence, Workload could be slow with periods of downtime
