Pros

Steady work if you are lucky enough to get picked up n a full time assignment. All travel and lodging paid for (some aspects of travel require you to pay and then submit for reimbursement) . Ability to work in numerous foreign countries.

Cons

Pay is below what other companies offer. Example: Medics assigned in Iraq to work in the community in an ambulance get $330 per day. There is no military or reliable security support. The only security is locally hired Iraqis in their early 20's who wold rather throw down their weapons then face a confrontation.. Management was asked about increase in pay and the response was " If you don't like it, we have South African medics who will be glad to take your position" Travel will be ticketed with the cheapest class fare with no ability to upgrade. Minimal support from upper management. You are responsible for paying your own income taxes. ISOS will not issue you a tax letter stating how much tax they pay the country you are working in. This means you are 100% responsible for all income taxes.
