Pros

The few pros of the company that were there have mostly faded with the firing of the previous manager. Some things still left are flexibility and no micromanaging.

Cons

There are a lot of cons now with recent changes in management. No morale or morale boosting activities at all anymore. Major toxic environment in between departments. People yelling at each other on the floor in front of management without any repricussions. Fraudulent policies being written by top sales agents. No organization of work. Inexperienced employees being promoted to executive positions. Misogyny and unequal opportunities for women. Agents not following basic procedures and rules on a daily basis. Inaccessible management staff. No clear roles for any of the executives. Closed door policies; executive suits are closed under the guise of pet friendly work environment. The dogs get more attention than employees. Management not leaving their offices to check up on how things are going. Unfair shifting of workload onto employees who are supposed to be "attached at the hip." Clearly one manager does more than the other. While one stays in his office and seems to not care at all about any of us while the other has no past experience in his position leaving most of the managing up to HR. No team building skills or workshops. No training procedures set in place for certain departments. Employees with no training expected to adjust quickly after being shuffled around from department to department. Management keeps their focus on sales and service department is an afterthought with double the amount of work and less than 3 times the amount of staff than sales.

Insuritas Response

As the fastest growing InsurTECH company in CT, we are passionate about building and nurturing a culture that is diverse, inclusive, empowered and engaged. As a group, we are extremely proud of the Glassdoor scores our team members post. We wanted a quiet moment to respond collectively to this posting about our company. As a high growth company, we have unique challenges in hiring, onboarding, nurturing and supporting team members who can grow and scale along with our business. As we say to everyone who talks about working with us and as we remind ourselves nearly every day, high growth companies have a unique energy, a vibrant rhythm and a lot of movement from the body of work we process, the tech we build and deploy, and the engagement of our ‘fail fast’ culture that fuels our commitment to constant innovation. We know as a team, we’re simply not a company for everyone, so we work passionately to make sure the folks who join our team understand the energy, challenges and engagement required of our mission to reimagine insurance shopping in America. We are one of the most diverse workplaces in the region, embrace diversity and empower everyone who wants to help our company grow. We have women in positions of executive leadership and we do have a passion to promote from within. If you have an interest in joining a company that is reengineering one of the largest verticals in America – let us know.

Pros

The only good thing I can do here is warn others to stay far away.

Cons

- Making real money here is nearly impossible. There is no base pay, no security, and no support. - You start with nothing, and most end up with exactly that — nothing. - Benefits? Forget it. You’re left to fend for yourself while pretending it's a real opportunity. - Managers put on a fake smile and act like they care, but it’s all about what you can bring in. - The moment you stop producing, you’re pushed aside like you don’t exist. - You’re used until you burn out, then tossed aside for the next hopeful recruit.
