Pros

-friendly people -delicious food in the cafeteria -sales reps are treating like kings; free food constantly, gifts and vacations -great PTO

Cons

Firstly, you can have the same title as someone else and do vastly different jobs during the day. Some vendors are extremely busy, while others expect nothing and you can sit around all day on youtube. It's tough to know what you're getting into. Secondly, one of the reasons I left is because they slashed our hourly pay in promise of "being able to make more in commission". I was making a mere $14 an hour from $17, and had to wait 4 months to see my commission check. And though they say "you can make more in commission now!" you would need to hit over 140% over last quarters numbers, which is near to impossible. Their pay is ridiculous and for the amount of work some people do, the amount of money Ingram makes, is shameful. There are problems at Ingram that everyone is aware of, such as their very expensive yet very poor work ethic marketing team, that never will change. They would give employees surveys, we would tell them how unhappy we were and yet everything is shrugged off. I basically and mainly left because of corporate politics. I myself was treated really poorly, let HR know and was told "too bad". Yet, other coworkers were able to make decisions on their careers to benefit themselves, while I was told that I was stuck in my position, being treated against Ingram's own policies, and couldn't even make a lateral move. I saw great candidates being denied promotions so that the buddies of management could snag them instead. I knew a person who openly talked about their drug use with our managers, would show up whenever they wanted to, get an award while other people were being written up for merely coming in early to work on an overloaded project. My point is, everyone's experience is very different and based off of complete crap instead of someone's actual work ethic. Some of the business units were run only by men, and again, some of the women who were lucky enough to be in a position of power, sucked at their job and were only hired for being friends with other decision makers. Working from 830-530 also really sucked, it's a long day. Overall, try to go somewhere that will actually pay you a liveable wage and who will also treat you with respect. I would say 4/5 people there have second jobs just to make their rent. This place is great for people fresh out of college or high school that need something for their resume as experience. The favoritism is sickening and so is the sexism. I received no exit interview, and the times I did try to share my poor experiences with HR, I was shut down. You're just a number at Ingram and that won't change.
