Pros
Good work life balance and decent salaries across the board given the hours and level of work involved. People are generally friendly and the projects themselves are large and interesting. Work is pretty easy
Cons
Senior management has no idea how to actually manage people. Too many make work projects, inefficient government infighting, too many people passing the buck and not wanting to do any actual work, too many meetings for the sake of meetings, a lot of unmotivated and frustrated people, weak senior management. Promotions and hiring practices not consistent. Some are put through the ringer for a small promotion. Others are handed jobs and titles with no process.
