Pros

Casual environment. Pay is decent (above average, but not top-of-the-valley). Some good, smart engineers - especially some of the new blood hired in the past year. Depending on the manager, some ability to work from home. Finally (as of 2014) found a viable sales direction which seems to be working.

Cons

Bulk of the code is ancient (.NET) with low-performing "specialists" kept around to patch it. Newer code is a mix of modern technologies, but still no focus on scalability. Top-level engineering management has no leadership skills - CTO is a CTO only because his business card says so. Terrible office location - middle of nowhere South SF. Well below Silicon Valley standards for accommodations and perks - only catered food twice per week with no restaurants within walking distance, no "special" benefits to speak of, crappy cubes, old laptops...

Pros

Solution is built stop a world class cloud platform. We have a super collaborative and diverse culture... everyone is looking to work together and help one another. Executive team rewards those that go above and beyond and take charge. Its one of the few places where you can work your way up into a true leadership role.

Cons

If you don't like working hard and need a predefined roadmap to know what to do next, you'll feel a little lost. There is plenty of leadership opportunity... you just need to take it. The negative comments are from those that are used to being spoonfed... Being a leader a leader means finding the gaps that need plugging, figuring out how to plug it, be transparant, get consensus, get permission if need be (it will be given if you are right) and go for it. All why doing your day job...
