Pros

-Ability to work 100% remotely -Flexible schedule (must log 40 hours per week with 95% of the time billable) -Parental leave is available from the first day of employment -Health insurance starts on day one

Cons

-They put a colleague on a probation/ performance-improvement-plan two days before her water broke, and she went on maternity leave. The probation plan was paused during her leave and resumed for 90 business days upon her return. -Maternity leave policy is not competitive. They offer short term disability (6-8 weeks) plus 4 weeks full parental leave (both parents). This is inferior with the federal government (12 weeks fully paid) and other federal contractors (up to six months). -No sick time. 17 days of PTO (sick and vacation) total. If you or your kids get COVID (or daycare closures) and you run out of PTO, your only options are to take negative PTO or become a part time employee. Typically your manager will let you log hours outside of the typical 9-5, sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day to take care of yourself and your sick children on top of 40 hours of billable work. This policy is in place regardless if your co-workers can temporarily cover your duties.
