Pros
The company tries hard to keep employees happy, and provides fairly good benefits. One great benefit is the availability of complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks throughout the day in the employee cafeteria. There are opportunities for advancement, however they tend to favor hiring Management Trainees out of college rather than promoting front-line employees into management positions. The hotel that I worked for also organized many different fun team events to promote comraderie in the team.
Cons
Very difficult to move up in the company into management positions, unless you go in as a management trainee. The compensation is also not great, but that is pretty standard for the hospitality industry. Because of the very corporate structure of the company, your contributions can sometimes feel overlooked.
