Pros

Attending customers houses and sorting there broken boilers out.

Cons

Bullying tactics from the very top level rolling down through the tiers of management ultimately to the front line engineers.

It doesn't sound as though your experience of working at HomeServe is what you expect or want but it concerns me that you believe there to be bullying tactics at work. I would suggest you get in touch with me direct to talk. If you are not comfortable to do that then you can always approach your HR support or call our employee advice line. But I would also say that your experience is not one shared across our directly employed engineer workforce, we do demand high standards which is how we deliver exceptional Customer service but we also consistently have one of the highest field engagement scores in the country. We spend a lot of time encouraging our engineers to talk directly to any manager in the company, including the CEO. Right now, we're in the middle of Engineer Roadshows which is a chance for all of us to be in the same room and includes a lot of open, honest and challenging questions. It's disappointing that you have not felt able to approach me at those events but, like I said, if you are having a difficult experience then we need to sort it out. Get in touch in whatever way is comfortable for you, and let's talk. Martin

Pros

Great exposure and a chance at a full time offer if you make the internship count.

Cons

Definitely a learning curve as with any company so you need to speak up and ask questions.
