Pros

Full-timers get insurance, 401K, paid vacation, sick and personal time. Company does a lot of mini incentives, such as: instant win $10 gift certificates, safety bingo ($20 gift card), $25 gift card weekly winner, employee of the quarter ($100 gift card). Fast paced environment and ever changing merchandise keep work interesting, never boring.

Cons

A full time schedule nets 32-35 hours not 40. Mini incentives that are supposed to be randomly drawn or quarterly voted on are actually chosen by management. Employee votes mean nothing. Most complaints are due to management and not company policy which could be said for any organization, so in the end, cons largely depend on the locations management team. Advancement is S L O W here compared to other companies. Maybe has to do with area and attrition rate.

Pros

it is a job if you desperately need one

Cons

management does not keep promises (e.g. I was promised $2 higher pay upon accepting the position and later was told it wasn't feasible anymore once starting. I was also promised a specific day off then last minute had it revoked because they decided to make it a mandatory day). management does not listen to or care about its employees, very unprofessional. store managers don't want to do anything to help, they just sit in the office. management let other employees slack off and do nothing and expected others to compensate for their lack of effort general manager was horribly rude and misogynistic. he threw a box at someone while visiting.
