Pros
Best for someone who wants a technical learning experience. At the time, working on a civil engineering degree, I wanted experience dealing with materials, and Lafarge trained me sufficiently there. They encourage you to build transferable skills so upward mobility through the company was possible.
Cons
After a while, working with cement just gets plain boring. Get into in if you really, REALLY, love cement. Also the hiring process (which happened during exams) was IMO more stressful than the job was worth.
