Pros

If you are willing to take the abuse as a Co-Manager, you will eventually be a store manager. But you will probably have to move your family to get a store. Then, the District Manager puts the pressure on you saying that "it will be bad for you to move you whole family and things not work out". The hourly employees are typically better performers because they are better compensated. I loved my crew.

Cons

You will work on some Sundays. The store is not open, but you will work. New store sets and some inventory preps are scheduled to work on Sunday. Very difficult to schedule a vacation. As a matter of fact, very few S.M.'s in my district lasted long enough to get that 3rd week. Take a look at how many Store Mgrs, have over 10 years as salaried manager with the company. Enough said. I would have rated work/life balance a zero if that had been available.

Pros

good pay. 6 paid holidays.

Cons

Distribution center only cares about numbers, not employees. Keep your production up to 90 or above or you're a goner. Fellow employees wil mow you down trying to pull their items. and if you're slow, look out, you have to get out ot THEIR way. And of course you can't make your production if you can't work and have to wait for others to fill their orders.
