Pros

Great working environment with flexibility to work either in the office or remotely. The work–life balance is generally good, although some areas experience an uneven workload due to limited resources.

Cons

Losing market share and positioning among storage vendors. No longer a leader in Gartner’s MQ. The company appears to have fallen behind in innovation and is now trying to catch up with what other vendors are doing. However, many talented employees have left or been laid off, making it difficult to develop and execute a competitive roadmap. No salary raises in years, even after the executive board committed to establishing a formal annual salary review process. That never happened. There are also very few career growth opportunities.

Pros

Decent pay, average benefits, some autonomy to get things done

Cons

The entire leadership group that I was hired under was gone within 18 months and replaced but far worse examples. Micro-managing and then threatening corrective action plans as a means to force out those who they didn't like or earned too much. From a technology perspective, the storage products are average and inline with competition, but with far fewer reps in the field and no real marketing or inside sales to speak of, Hitachi Vantara is largely irrelevant in the Storage industry now.
