Pros
The possibility move up quickly.
Cons
Zero help from upper management at critical times, especially during peak seasons. They will list that cars are available, allow customers to book when we are clearly sold out. When others quit, kiss your time off requests goodbye. Impossible to request days off. Even if you able to, your manager will try to beg you to come in to work that day. You'll be lucky to even have two consecutive days off. If you are working at any hotel location, good luck! They'll give you a small portable vacuum and some cleaning wipes to fully clean cars within a 10 minute window but then get upset about customers complaining about how dirty the cars were given. Lunch breaks are non-existent! Most locations are a single person operation. If you have a busy day which is 10+ consecutive reservations (which is everyday) it's near impossible to take a lunch due to having either a line of customers, someone needing to be picked up, cleaning a car, or catching up on back office. Even if you step out, you'll receive phone calls from upset customers on why nobody's at the desk. Similar companies start their employees with more pay with paid holidays off and will have a full staff majority of the time to help out. Hertz is a very high turnover company that is, and will always be understaffed, that's why they're always hiring!
