Pros

Good Training, free fruit, good office location

Cons

Everything else. Hat ham make you feel like they own all of your time for the absolute joke of a salary they pay. You cannot leave a minute early for either lunch or at the end of the day. I have known colleagues that were expected to go to events for a weekend to represent the company and didn't get a day off or the time paid which was outrageous. They constantly send out stats to everyone to humiliate whoever is the lowest and bark at you for talking to colleagues saying you can only chat outside of working hours. I once was belittled for not coming back from lunch at 13:29 instead of 13:30. I was pulled up on coming back punctually instead of 30 seconds Early and this behaviour is encouraged by management. Also they don't pay outstanding commission when people leave. I lost around 3k which if you are on their abysmal base salary is a lot. Internal communications are almost cult like with the constant talk of how great harnham is. If you're thinking of joining do yourself a favour and listen to all the negative reviews here. Run.

Pros

With Harnham for almost 2 years as a contract employee. Hiring process was very easy. Was approached on LinkedIn, had a phone interview with the recruiter, then a phone and onsite interview with the contracting organization. Time from contact to hire was 3 weeks. My recruiter secured a higher hourly rate for me than my initial ask, which was in their best interest, but was a welcome bonus. Recruiter remains my main contact at the organization, and has always been easy to deal with, helpful as can be. They offer some benefits to contractors. The health insurance is super expensive and I skipped it. They offer a 4% match without vesting as long as you contribute at least that much - which was completely unexpected. There is also another match that is vested over time, but you'd need to work there for a handful of years to benefit.

Cons

Expensive health insurance, with no HSA option

Harnham Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We take concerns around professionalism and workplace culture seriously and are continually working to ensure Harnham is a supportive and inclusive environment for all employees, We encourage employees who have feedback about their experience to share them with our HR team if they feel comfortable doing so, as open dialogue helps us better understand issues and continue improving our workplace. Should you wish to follow up on any of the points raised in your review, we would be happy to continue the conversation directly. We would like to clarify one point regarding layoffs. Harnham has not undertaken company-wide layoffs as described in this review. The only workforce reduction in our recent history occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, when widespread hiring freezes across the technology sector significantly impacted market demand. At that time, we unfortunately had to reduce a number of entry-level positions in response to those unprecedented market conditions. This took place approximately six years ago and has not been repeated since. While we recognize that every individual's experience is unique, we remain committed to supporting our employees' development and providing transparency throughout their careers with us. We appreciate your contributions during your time at Harnham and wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
