Pros
The people and culture here are genuinely special. It's employee-centric and family-friendly in a way that's rare, especially for a company moving this fast in such an important space. Opportunities like this don't come around often, and it really does feel like a "ride of your life" kind of thing. The team is smart, low-ego, and great to work with (not to mention fun, with British humor to brighten your day). There's real trust here. You get ownership and autonomy to do your job without someone looking over your shoulder, and the values aren't just on a wall somewhere. They actually show up in how people work together day to day. There's also a genuine energy around rethinking how work gets done. Modernizing workflows, automating where it makes sense, and leaning into AI is something we talk and think about regularly. It feels like you're right on the edge of something. True blank canvas energy. You can build, learn fast, and see the impact of what you're doing pretty quickly. Things move fast, even by startup standards, but that's part of what makes it exciting. Week to week you can feel the momentum, and it is fun to feel and see that team is clearly building something real. The US/UK split could easily create silos, but it doesn't. There's real effort to stay connected, in-person time built in (annual all company offsite, UK Work Weeks), and day-to-day collaboration feels seamless. It genuinely feels like one team with one culture, not two offices doing their own thing. I am super happy and proud to be here!
Cons
The pace is real. We move fast. There’s a lot happening at any given time, and the level of ambiguity is high, even compared to other scaling startups. There isn’t always a clear playbook, and some days there won’t be a clear answer yet. If you need structure to do your best work, this might not be the right fit. The same goes if new technology or AI feels more stressful than exciting. The company is scaling quickly while defining a new market, which naturally comes with some growing pains. Processes are still evolving, and not everything is fully built out yet. That said, it’s also what makes the experience exciting. You get to build, learn, and make an impact in real time. If you enjoy figuring things out, moving quickly, and building as you go, you'll likely do well here!
