Pros

Great Work/Life Balance and its great working with smart engineers. The pay is fair. A great place to work as an engineer for a slow paced lifestyle. Overtime pay when working more than 45 hours a week.

Cons

A lot of business practices/tools are archaic, and the progress on designs is very slow. While the internal machine shop access seems like it would be a great benefit to engineers, the shop takes a significant amount of time for prototype parts. The retirement plan, vacation/holidays, and healthcare plans are all below industry average. Emphasis is placed on showing up and being at work strictly between work hours (7:00-3:30), but not so much on making progress on projects.

Good, smart R&D colleagues. Friendly and willing to help. Bit of learning curve if no coding experience in the past.

Cons

Location is far from any major cities so not a lot of food/lunch options.
