I am lucky to work for the Hamilton Company. I admire that management always puts the customer needs as its first priority, which makes my job easier and makes Hamilton an industry leader. Hamilton is a global company but is still a private, family owned one. CEO Mr. Hamilton is a visionary leader and he cares very much about his employees as well as the local business community. For example, Hamilton Co. is still manually making its syringes with prices staying the same as 10 years ago because Mr. Hamilton wants to provide job opportunities to local people instead of outsourcing overseas. This works because Mr. Hamilton pushes engineering innovations and maximum production efficiency to avoid product price increases. Mr. Hamilton also cares about employee’s work/life balance. My personal experience is a great example. I am required to travel for business but Mr. Hamilton has expressed his concern that if I travel too much, it may adversely affect my kid’s activities in school and sports. I have been advised to let HR know anytime I need to adjust my schedule to accommodate family needs. Plus, Hamilton has good healthcare insurance. Overall, Hamilton has a low employee turnover rate and is a company worth working at for the long term.
