Pros
Good health insurance. They will pay you an insulting amount for the hours that you work. In 1 years time, you will have worked the equivalent of 2. So if you never want to be home or be with family or friends, then this job is for you!
Cons
14+ hour work days. On call schedule, they can call you 24/7. We worked a 6 day on rotation. I worked in both the Cement and FRAC departments. FRAC is straight slave labor and the job security is low. Every year we had lay-offs. Cement is more stable as we never had any layoffs. Halliburton just wants bodies, they do not care about you or your family life. If you are single and do not want a life, then this job is for you. Field employee's do not get even a yearly raise. You must hold a certain position to even get a yearly raise. Your raises are based off of "competencies". Service leaders or supervisors are "Raters". They are the ones who determine if you are competent for a raise. They tell you to work on your "Competency Books". Well, when you complete them, it is difficult to get them to review it and sometimes they will even tell you that they do not have any "Raters" to determine your skills. This company is straight slave labor. I would rather work at mcdonalds.
