Pros

On a personal level, colleagues (none CEO & CMO) are approachable and supportive.

Cons

The company operates without a clearly defined long-term strategy. Direction tends to change frequently, making it difficult to understand what success looks like beyond the short term. Since the new leadership team team have joined, roles are poorly defined as they want to do ALL roles themselves and micro manage their teams. Job titles can be misleading, and there’s little formal structure for performance reviews or professional development. Many team members are leaving due to this (even without a job) and they are not replacing them, just trying to do it themselves or piling it on another team members. Many employees end up carrying expanded workloads without additional resources, clarity, or recognition. Decision-making is concentrated at the top, and experienced perspectives from within the team are often overlooked. Autonomy has decreased over time which has reduced many of the benefits that initially attracted people to the company. Employee benefits are extremely limited with low pay, and compensation extras like bonuses are applied inconsistently across teams.

Pros

Great place for junior-level roles. If you're early in your career and proactive, you can get exposure to loads of areas of the business. There’s real opportunity to learn on the job and get your hands dirty across functions. The brands have strong potential, and there’s room to shape your work end-to-end. You’re given a lot of freedom and trust to run with things, which suits self-starters who can manage without much support. The team is small and friendly, you’ll work with good people trying to do their best. Only 2 days in the office.

Cons

Leadership lacks clear strategic alignment. Priorities constantly change, and communication is often vague or reactive. Career progression is murky at best. Titles don’t reflect responsibilities, and performance development is basically non-existent. There’s little to no support for long-term skill growth or role evolution, you end up stuck doing more, without clarity or recognition. Resource gaps are huge. The expectation is to deliver at the level of a fully funded team, without the tools or headcount to match. Decision-making is top-down, and input from experienced team members is often dismissed or sidelined. More recently, there's significant increase in micromanagement which starts eroding most of the pros of working at HSNF. No proper benefits package, just birthday days off and a free product every month. Bonus system is not consistent across the business.
