Pros

They offer good benefits such as medical, dental, life insurance, vision, 20 Days of PTO Per year (which increases the longer youre there), yearly bonuses.

Cons

When you first get your offer they willlow ball yoir worth. They are a cheap maintenance company that charge their customers less and offer them 24hr labor which takes away money from the workers. If you havnt been there for 20+ years you will never have saturday amd sunday off. They have training programs lets say for instance yoir a mechanic with A&P and you wanted to go NDT but didnt have the experience, they will send you through the course in order for you to get certified (this is the same if you are an unlicensed mechanic amd desire to get your A&P). This is great but you cant ever get through to training to even setup a class and you have to have at least 4 people who want that class they wont just teach it to a few people. In other words their training program sucks. HR is terrible when it comes to customer service they will forget to get back with you on more serious terms. As far as maintenance goes when needing appropriate tooling in order to get a job done you may have to go to a different hanger in order to use the tool (thats if no one else is using it already). If they dont look at you and dont see lead potential in you (even if you are the best of all best mechanic) they will give you an average mechanic rating which affects your yearly bonus. They expect hard work for lousy pay. All lines do not necessarily offer overtime (if you wanted overtime you have to work your days off). Hope this was helpful.

Pros

It was a great company to work for.

Cons

There was some compliance issues that needed to be addressed. Some of the old mechanics were used to doing things the way they "had always done them" same thing with training and other managers rather than reading the manuals so it led to customer issues. It could have definitely been avoided. AAR Corp took over and just laid off all the good people who were trying to make positive changes rather than interviewing anyone. So now they are stuck with all the ones that are in that "lets keep doing it the way we have always done it mindset". If they dont sell it or break it down for parts - I will be surprised.
