I have been working at HAECO Americas full-time for more than a year
Pros
Good work environment, decent pay.

Pros
Job security is pretty good. Work availability fluctuates with the airline bussiness. For example 2020 was kinda rough, but they found a way to keep us paid if you wanted to show up and push a broom for 8 hours.
Cons
Pay could be better. Tooling can be hard to come by sometimes. For example you could have 10 of a certain tool available in tool crib but 8 of them will be broken and not repaired in a timely manner, so 5 technicians will have to hunt down and share the remaining 2 that work.

Pros
Overall HAECO is a great place to work. There are plenty of great people there, and if you work hard and do your job correctly you will do very well there. They provide lots of training, Fam courses on Aircraft etc. Some of the best training of any company I've worked for in my 10 years in aviation. There is plenty of room for vertical growth within the company if you want it. They provide pretty decent benefits. The work was interesting and pretty enjoyable for the most part. I likely would have stayed there if it weren't for reasons outside of work that caused me to move.
Cons
Pay. Plain and simple they don't pay nearly as well as other A&P positions in the industry, or really even just in the Greensboro area. It's much better than it was 10 years ago but they still have room to go to be competitive. They have a lot of great mechanics come through their doors but they don't stay long because the pay isn't there. Some aircraft lines were much better to work for than others. I got lucky and landed with a crew that worked great together. Other people were not as lucky and therefore not as happy.

Pros
They offer good benefits such as medical, dental, life insurance, vision, 20 Days of PTO Per year (which increases the longer youre there), yearly bonuses.
Cons
When you first get your offer they willlow ball yoir worth. They are a cheap maintenance company that charge their customers less and offer them 24hr labor which takes away money from the workers. If you havnt been there for 20+ years you will never have saturday amd sunday off. They have training programs lets say for instance yoir a mechanic with A&P and you wanted to go NDT but didnt have the experience, they will send you through the course in order for you to get certified (this is the same if you are an unlicensed mechanic amd desire to get your A&P). This is great but you cant ever get through to training to even setup a class and you have to have at least 4 people who want that class they wont just teach it to a few people. In other words their training program sucks. HR is terrible when it comes to customer service they will forget to get back with you on more serious terms. As far as maintenance goes when needing appropriate tooling in order to get a job done you may have to go to a different hanger in order to use the tool (thats if no one else is using it already). If they dont look at you and dont see lead potential in you (even if you are the best of all best mechanic) they will give you an average mechanic rating which affects your yearly bonus. They expect hard work for lousy pay. All lines do not necessarily offer overtime (if you wanted overtime you have to work your days off). Hope this was helpful.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at HAECO Americas full-time for more than a year
Pros
They pay well and provide the tools and manuals needed to succeed at your job. They support continuing education, and are understandable about emergencies. Good benefits.
Cons
Difficult to be promoted, management makes questionable decisions - would rather fire you for infractions that weren't being punished beforehand than do layoffs, will question your capabilities and methods constantly. Makes the worst assumptions about your behavior whenever ambiguity is possible.
