Pros

The head of engineering is smart, honest, and a nice guy. He's genuinely open to input from anyone. I saw him act on complaints at both minor and significant levels.

Cons

The product teams are starting to communicate / collaborate a bit better, but it's still a mess. There is a long way to go. Also a recent change in source control seems like it could have been implemented better. It'll be all good in the long run though - mistakes happen and transitions are hard. I do hope we learn and the next change with major impact on developers is better planned & gets more resources.

Pros

NA, can't think of anything positive anymore. It's a micromanaging mess.

Cons

Guidewire makes majors shift every 2 years and the last one to take PgM out of PD into its own department is a micromanaging nightmare. We have more status meetings and spreadsheets to update than time to do any work anymore. 3 places to update if I want to take PTO. 7am and 7pm meetings are now the norm. 6 bosses in 10 years, no one can make up their mind on the direction of the company, projects start and are abandoned constantly.
