Pros

People you work with will generally be pleasant.

Cons

Greystar is more concerned with weekly trainings on their 'Total Monthly leasing price' than a proper onboarding and training for new leasing agents. We don't need 5 different trainings on the same thing-we need support both from our manager and team members. You will be just thrown in without any coaching or weekly recaps, they will just let you try to figure it out yourself. Most properties look beautiful at first sight, but they are poorly managed and there are many issues every day, that could easily be prevented by having qualified managers being present and proactive. If your property is struggling with occupancy, your commission will be laughable. Commissions are also super low, it is just not worth working weekends and holidays while being paid pennies.

Pros

Greystar Seattle offers solid training, competitive commission opportunities, and clear pathways for career advancement. The company manages a diverse portfolio, allowing employees to gain experience across different asset types and markets. Employees who find themselves on a strong team with supportive leadership can build valuable skills and grow quickly.

Cons

Employee experience can vary significantly depending on the property and management team. In some cases, policies and performance expectations may be applied inconsistently, which can create perceptions of favoritism or unequal treatment. Greater consistency in leadership practices and accountability across communities would improve the employee experience.
