Pros

Built in clientele, tips are probably 2-5$ per client, you make commission on selling products. They have insurance for full timers and you get 40% discount on products while working. Some of the girls there are very sweet and will help show you New techniques to further train you. Great for if you’re just starting off to get trained and used to new clientele and products.

Cons

Tips, hours, and pay are inconsistent. Work life balance is non existent you will probably receive a call to come in every time you’re off along with a guilt trip as to why they need you. No set schedules and if you tell them you need one they will go with it for a week and then change it.

Pros

Flexible schedules, 401k, health, & dental benefits, bonuses (based on salon performance, base wage with poetional to hit commission on service & product sales, fun friendly & welcoming environment for employees/customers, continuing education for growth in the industry, professional career growth with Great Clips (depending upon your franchise)

Cons

Haircutting exclusive so if you enjoy other services in the industry (chemicals, waxing, updo styling) this is not the place Franchised salons, so salons are ran differently.
