Pros
Benefits are still good. Corporate is a great place to work.
Cons
Since the implementation of Salesforce and a new CEO, Grainger has become a micro-managing company with reagards to their seasoned sales professionals. We had independance before, now our every move is watched. Even if you are exceeding your goals, you are to review your number requirements every month. You will be held accountable at your review. The statistics are more important than meeting your goal. They are trying to turn their sales staff into robots. It is a calculated move to ultimately decrease staff by attrition as good salespeople are leaving in droves. It is next to impossible to move possitions unless you have a very strong network. Moving within Grainger is about who you know, not about how you work. Unless you have a cheerleader, you are not moving anywhere within Grainger. Even if you have a stellar reputation within your region.
