Pros

Fellow employees are great and wonderful to work with. Generous desk space and nice computers.

Cons

At will employment – in a nutshell you can be fired for just about any reason, including someone not liking you. Turnover rate is high and people are fired more frequently than not, very unstable. EXTREME micromanaging style from multiple managers. Managers do not have the skills or qualifications required to do their job. You are expected to do your managers work along with your own. Management is very gossipy and prone to spreading rumors. Work environment is generally negative and stressful as a result of poor management; you can usually find someone crying if you walk around. Communication is non-existent, you are expected to learn information through the grape-vine; which results in rumors and incorrect information. Workload is excessively heavy making it near impossible to do your job successfully. You will work more overtime than the vacation time you are allotted during high volume times. Company likes to cut corners on employee pay, staffing, and equipment.

Pros

All the photographers I've meet were super wonderful to work with. They were funny and nice. They do pay for hotel for overnight stays. They will sometimes pay for your milage, othertimes they'll say "send receipts."

Cons

You're a W2 employee and need to be compensated for it. They try to make you believe you're a 1099. When you start asking for more clarification on missing hours, they start to ghost you and lock you out of seeing your paystubs- which expecting you to show up to events. Old employees still believe they're 1099 and were not given new paperwork to fill out when the company switched to W2. During the hiring process they say they pay a "100$ event fee (for four hours) then $25 per hour after." They refuse to pay for hours when the graduation runs over because they'll double book your events- so your wait time for your next graduation starts at the time your current graduation ends incase it goes over. They wont pay for other W2 hours: driving time, waiting time, talking to management, charging gear, prepping for events, money for gas. When you add all those hours into your pay- you're being paid less than minimum wage. Constantly, photographers showed up an hour and a half late and still got compensated the same as me. They've cold fired me, won't acknowledge I've been terminated, and ghosted me.
