This company was a great place to work until some years ago. My work colleagues were amazing people, and I've met the best bosses of my career there, in the first 5 years working at the company.
Cons
The company does not offer any benefits to Europe-based employees. Lots of employees and even one of the founders were let go without even having the chance of saying a proper goodbye along the years I was there. After being merged in 2024 with the US-based Safety Plus, Inc., GoContractor has gone downhill. Bad decisions made by the CEO and other executives made working an unpleasant, insecure, unhealthy experience to me and all colleagues I used to speak to. Worst of all, the company made some people redundant and tried to get away with NOT paying the statutory redundancy those employees were owed, with different excuses, including to myself. Based my own experience and of what a previous colleague told me, I'd say they haven't paid what the former employees had the right to in at least 2 circumstances, They've been reported to Ireland's Workplace Relations Commission.
