Pros

Very flexible hours. Flexible with working from home whenever you need. Overall good compensation. Paid volunteer days away from the office is a novel idea.

Cons

Manager tends to neglect Agile practices, they more or less go with the flow and just resolve issues when we run into it, making it very difficult to determine deadlines. Not very ambitious with new project ideas/plans, relying very heavily on building on or fixing/refactoring old legacy code. Higher ups don't seem to care on what new ideas you may have, just fix the way it's being done now or when we need to, often altering your current workflow at a moment's notice. Given current market on energy and mineral exploration, there doesn't seem to much opportunity for a lot of revenue for the company anytime soon. Higher ups have no problems letting people go when the need arises. Some days can drag on and get very boring since any progress on projects runs at a snails pace making most of the day pretty pointless, might as well offer an unlimited vacation policy if people can have so much time wasted during the day.

Pros

People are easy to work with. No micromanagement. After work socializing regularly. Room to move into other roles within the company.

Cons

Not many cons at all. Maybe too many company wide meetings.
