Pros
Company monetary benefits are good.
Cons
My experience working at Genpact India was extremely disappointing, especially as a returning mother after maternity leave. When I wanted to resume work after my maternity break, my manager asked me, “Why do you want to return? You should sit at home and relax.” This was deeply discouraging and unprofessional. I reported the issue to HR, but no action was taken. Instead of supporting employees, HR appeared to side with management. As a returning mother with a 10-month-old baby, I was not provided a reasonable opportunity to rejoin. I was offered a role that required night shifts and mandatory 5-day office attendance, with no flexibility or consideration for my situation. I was also indirectly pressured with the possibility of being put on the bench and eventually auto-exited if I did not accept the role. Ultimately, I was left with no practical option except to resign. A workplace should support employees during important life transitions, especially maternity and return-to-work phases. Unfortunately, my experience at Genpact India reflected a lack of empathy, support, and fair employee treatment.
