Pros

- Takes full interest into your development and understanding your personal goals in life which then resonates with Gartner's goals as a company - MSE Culture. Collaboration across MSE is brilliant. Help is always at hand - Company's flexible working policy. - Rewards and benefits. Gartner is always focused on you to be successful and the rewards are so unique in comparison to other companies. Such as Recognition holidays abroad, commission structure - People first company. - Recruitment process is a learning process. I have received feedback from candidates who have said 'I have learnt more through this interview process about me as a person then the company I actually work for at the moment' - Feedback orientated always. I have been working at Gartner just over 3 years now and I came into the organisation with no IT or sales experience. With the academy training they have to get you up to speed (like no other training I have ever experienced) I was able to be promoted consistently since 2015. Moving from Entry level account manager to Account Executive (due to a successful year) and now running a team as an Area Manager in 2018. Personally for me, Gartner gave me an opportunity and I put the efforts in to be successful and I saw the ROI in doing so. The management focused heavily on my development which helped dramatically.

Pros

Terrific coworkers. Nearly everyone at the company is pleasant, professional, and willing to help you even if you’ve never met them before. Hybrid work environment. People generally seem to care about you on an individual level. One of the best corporations I’ve worked for.

Cons

Gartner is not in a great place right now. The business model requires changes and Wall Street analysts have tremendous doubts about the corporate liability in the era of AI. Stock has fallen in half over the past two years. Massive layoffs across the company. Doubt the stability is there for any kind of medium term or long-term career. Below market compensation, offset by pros above when they exist.
