Pros

Working at Gartner means being surrounded by some of the brightest and most knowledgeable people you’ll ever meet. The access to insights, expertise, and information is incredible. If you’re someone who loves to learn, grow, and exchange ideas, this is definitely the right place. Every day offers the chance to expand your perspective and challenge your thinking.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company’s internal structure doesn’t always support collaboration. This creates friction and confusion instead of alignment, and it makes teamwork across departments unnecessarily difficult. From an associate’s point of view, it often feels like your value depends on how close you are to the money. If you’re not directly generating revenue or supporting those who do (service delivery), your contributions can be overlooked.. or better said close to invisible. Even when you’re skilled, motivated, and full of potential, career growth often comes down to luck, connections, or timing — not performance or capability. Sometimes, it genuinely feels like the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer. Those in visible or revenue-driven roles keep rising, while others who work just as hard are left behind. What’s even more disappointing is seeing good leaders, the ones who care about people, build strong cultures, and lead with integrity, being pushed out. Add to that the growing lack of transparency and internal politics, and it’s hard to trust what’s being said anymore. So, if I were to define this organization in just one word… What do you call someone who preaches but doesn’t follow? Hypocrites😃

Pros

Being a globally recognized company makes it easy to consistently engage clients. Great benefits. Amazing people (managers and colleagues) For the most part there is a clear path to success and promotions. Executives listen to feedback after every internal call to help guide strategy.

Cons

In office mandate increasing in office days from once a month to once a week. Need to live in Florida or Texas because of the in office mandate. Promotions take a while since there are many people going for the same roles. Hard to reach clients and constant territory’s shifting makes it difficult to achieve the numbers you and management expect.
