Pros
- Company truly cares about client services and relationships. There's nothing shady about the work that I do or the company services offered to clients.
- Work with good people and feel like you are part of a family
- Open door policy with management
- Work/life balance recognized and respected
- Committed to the professional and personal growth of employees at all levels
- Autonomy and trust - Management will always have your back; we're a team.
- No petty drama or gossip
In summary, the people who succeed at GS are self-driven individuals who hold high standards for themselves and others. This isn't the type of environment where you can simply show up, put in minimal effort, and expect to walk away with a salary that aligns with others that hold your same job title at different companies. But if you show up and really prove your worth, you will immediately see those efforts rewarded. You have to dig in and get your hands dirty first.
Cons
- Coworkers seemed cold at first. Could be difficult to feel like you fit in if you have a more social personality
- Internal tools and processes are still being refined. Could be frustrating for those that prefer very structured job roles and/or clearly defined micro-managing from supervisor.
- Unclear employee expectations for how they can grow within the company
