Pros

Hires smart people and is very select in who might be a good company culture fit. Leads to a very interesting crowd of mostly young sometimes native but definitely enthusiastic graduates working on the front line

Cons

Unfortunately the management level is completely opposite to these young enthusiastic graduates. Many are so called GLG lifers who have grown up in GLG and derive their main experience only from GLG. Many of your senior management colleagues are just not on paar and today would not even make the entry grade into GLG . Overall there has been a huge shift in senior managers from being very driven and upfront to stressed scared and turning into yes sayers. All board level decisions are just accepted and blame is always completely shifted to the one below. You are a senior manager with a decent qualification and work experience? Great, GLG seriously needs you BUT forget it, do not start here! Your colleagues are a joke and constantly undermine you. They may have wanted your expertise but due to their own insecurity will make your life like hell. Leaving you with only your subordinates who are fun to work with

Pros

Amazing people - lots of reviews say that because it's true. You'll work with smart, genuine, hard working humans. Good benefits and perks. Interesting events and opportunities to learn. Overall, a good place to start your career!

Cons

Very fast-paced environment which definitely isn't for everyone. Lots of necessary change.

Pros

People at the peer level are great and you learn about some interesting industries

Cons

This is the worst place I have ever worked. Management does not care about you. They put on a front, but push and push and ask for more no matter how hard you work. You can be a top performer, but if you leave on time to go home they're not happy. It's never enough and the work never ends. It's just not worth it.
