Pros

The work can sometimes be interesting, and people are somewhat friendly. If you’re keen on it then the Unlimited PTO is quite nice. I think on average though, people take no more than 15 days per year. They are quite transparent about the salary ranges and they reflect the market rate.

Cons

The workplace culture is toxic. The CEO can’t handle criticism and barks at people to do work that end up going no where. They can’t retain senior leadership longer than 1 year and their product market fit doesn’t make any sense. Their workplace policies are random and change frequently, and once you get to know people you’ll realize they’re not that friendly. Almost everyone has a cynical remark to say about one another, and being in a start-up is a cover up for rude and disrespectful behaviour. No room for growth, people are stuck at the same level for years as they look outward for senior talent. Do not recommend working here. To anyone looking at FutureFit as a potential employer: tread carefully, and always have a back up plan.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. While we’re glad you found value in our transparency and time-off policies, we’re sorry your experience fell short. We work hard to create an open culture where feedback can be shared in many ways - directly with managers, anonymously through monthly surveys, and as discussion points in All Hands forums. We agree with your value of growth and development opportunities. We’ve seen many team members grow significantly in their roles over time, including most of our current leadership team. We know there’s always room to improve, and we remain committed to building a culture that supports both people and the mission we’re working toward.

Pros

- Inspiring and impactful work - I genuinely see our product changing people's lives every day, and we're one of the leading players in a niche, fast-growing market. - High-growth environment where everyone is pushed to achieve more than they thought themselves capable of and given both the space and support to grow. - Extremely supportive, low-ego team members - there's always someone there to pick me up, and no one feels like their own work is more important the success of the team. - Flexible work environment - work when and where you want as long as you get the job done. Nice having office available as needed and seeing teammates in person at least once a week.

Cons

- You will work very hard. There is a high intensity and pace to the work, which means Slack is often lit up on nights and weekends. - The org runs very lean. Everyone is asked to cover a lot of ground, including things outside their job description. - Career ladders aren't always made clear. More structure around role titles/levels and org charts would help employees understand what advancement could look like.

Thank you for the thoughtful and honest feedback. We’re really glad the mission, impact, and team culture came through so clearly - that’s what we care most about building. We also recognize the intensity of the work and the reality of operating lean. That pace has helped us grow quickly, and as we continue to scale, we’re actively working on adding more structure while staying true to the trust, flexibility, and ownership we also value. Thank you for sharing your experience!
